Why the US is on the Brink of Collapse
Yes, it is on the brink of collapse in the 21st Century. The premises upon which Western civilization is built is unsound. Western values have been molded by materialistic attitudes that subvert the human ethos. Ideas in capitalism, consumerism, psychologism, relativism and nihilism are the various cultural expressions that have taken root in the Western ethos to such depth that they efface humanity. These ideas destroy the very foundations of motivation and edification. Western institutions are built on “shifting sands” and away from immutable principles. To adopt immutable principles is to recognize that the sense of the sacred is for the preservation of the human ethos. Western cultural ethos encourages experimentation. This sense of curiosity prods at ideas, things and institutions which ultimately vandalizes that which are not meant to be structurally undermined, good intentions notwithstanding.
